What’s the difference between a Product Certificate and a Shipment Certificate?
The Product Certificate confirms your product type complies with the relevant SASO Technical Regulation and is generally valid across multiple shipments. The Shipment Certificate is issued per consignment and confirms that specific shipment matches the certified product — both are required for customs clearance.
Which product categories can IMQ Gulf certify for Saudi Arabia?
We are SASO-notified for RoHS, Electrical Batteries, Portable & Oriented Machines, kitchen tools and appliances (food safety), and Textile products. If your product falls outside these categories, contact us to discuss your specific requirements.
What happens if a shipment arrives without a Shipment Certificate?
Shipments without the required Shipment Certificate risk being held or rejected at Saudi customs. We recommend arranging certification well before your goods are dispatched to avoid delays.
