What is the DGSM and why does it matter for my shipment?
The DGSM (Directorate General for Specifications and Metrology) is the Omani authority overseeing product conformity. It requires a Certificate of Conformity for regulated product categories — without it, your shipment risks being held at Oman’s ports or land borders.
Which products fall under the Oman Energy Efficiency Scheme?
Washing machines (10–25 kg capacity), non-ducted and ducted air conditioners, air-cooled heat pumps, refrigerators, refrigerator-freezers, and freezers are all covered under GSO 2530 / OS 1651 / OS 1652 / OS 1653.
Can I use an international standard instead of an Omani one?
